Journal History

The Journal of Food and Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in 2013 on the website https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/jfps. In 2020, the journal migrated to the Open Journal System Version 3 (OJS-3). The journal initially published articles in both English and Bahasa Indonesia; however, JFPS now accepts manuscripts written in English only. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rohman was appointed as the Editor-in-Chief. Journal of Food and Pharmaceutical Sciences (abbreviated as J. Food. Pharm. Sci.) is an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal.

The journal was previously published three times a year. Beginning in 2026, the publication frequency will increase to six issues per year, scheduled for February, April, June, August, October, and December.
