Humaniora

Humaniora, an academic peer-reviewed quarterly journal founded in 1989 with registered number ISSN 0852-0801 (print) and ISSN 2302-9269 (online), provides a forum for the full range of scholarly studies of culture. It is published by Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The editors welcome articles and research reports utilizing an interdisciplinary approach in the study of Indonesian culture. The object materials of the study may include aspects of language, literature, history, anthropology, archaeology, and tourism. Since 2016, Humaniora is fully published in English. Several other changes are informed in the Journal History.

Booking Humaniora print edition can be done by:

  1. Purchase directly by coming to the Humaniora office at the address: Jalan Sosiohumaniora, Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta 55281
  2. Purchase online by filling in the HUMANIORA SUBSCRIPTION FORM (download here). The completed form is sent to the email address of HUMANIORA: humaniora@ugm.ac.id.

Call For Papers

 

 

Humaniora solicites manuscript submissions which tally to our abovementioned focus and scope.

General requirements:  

  • Articles have not been published or accepted for publication, or are being considered for publication elsewhere. Types of articles suitable for publication include research reports (laboratory, field, archives), conceptual ideas, studies, theory applications. 
  • Articles need to be written in English using standardized academic writing structure and composition. Manuscripts are typed 1,5 spaced in a quarto paper size (A4), between 5000-7000 words in length including references, pictures, and tables.
  • Articles should be in form of essay.
  • Articles should be submitted in soft files using Microsoft Word application to the Online Submission page in Humaniora home site.
