About the Journal

Focus and Scope 

This journal provides a forum for experts, academicians, practicioners, and the general public from various fields of legal and social studies. Starting from Volume 3(1) (May 2026), LEVIOPUS will only accept publications in the scope of socio-legal studies and law and society. In this regards, LEVIOPUS welcomes authors from all fields and backgrounds, including such from non-legal author that wishes to submit its work in LEVIOPUS. 

Publication Frequency

This journal is frequently published at two (2) times a year, which is in May and November. Authors are welcome to submit their article to LEVIOPUS throughout the year. 

Peer Review Process

All articles undergo through a comprehensive peer-review process. LEVIOPUS only publish articles that have been reviewed and approved by reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. LEVIOPUS adopts a double-blind peer-review process. The editorial board considers the feedback provided by the peer reviewers and then makes a decision. Types of decisions issued by editors;

  • Accepted as it is. LEVIOPUS will publish the article in its original form;
  • Accepted with minor revisions, Leviopus will publish the article and ask the author to make minor revisiosn (provide the author a specified revision time);
  • Accepted with Major Revisions: The journal will publish the paper provided the author makes the changes suggested by the reviewer and/or editor (the author is permitted to revise within a specified timeframe);
  • Resubmit (conditional rejection): The journal is willing to reconsider the paper in the next decision-making round after the author makes major changes;
  • Rejected (direct rejection): The journal will not publish the paper or reconsider it, even if the author makes major revisions.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access principle to its contents, meaning that it is the free availablility of articles of research to the public supports a broader global exchange of knowledge. LEVIOPUS is an open access journal, meaning that all content is freely available at no costs to users or institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to ful-text articles in this journal without prior permission from the publisher or authors. 

Plagiarism Ethics

  1. Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are not permitted;
  2. Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work, and if they have used the work and/or words of others, these must be appropriately cited or referenced;
  3. The editorial team manually checks manuscripts against offline and online databases (verifying proper citations and references) and uses Turnitin for screening. If indications of plagiarism (exceeding 25%) are found, the editorial board will immediately reject the manuscript;
  4. In general, an author should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously constitutes unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior;
  5. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.

Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee (Free of Charge) as part of the submission process.

Article Processing Charges (APC): 0,00 (USD)

Authors are not required to pay any APC when submitting to LEVIOPUS (free of charge). The public can also download/read the full text of the article free of charge.
