On 5 April 2025, due to update request, DOAJ removed JTBB from its list.
On 1 January 2025, the journal website migrated to the current address. Published articles until volume 9 (2024) can still be accessed on the old website at https://journal.ugm.ac.id/jtbb/index.
Following JTBB's acceptance to Scopus Index, accreditation of JTBB was promoted into Sinta 1 on 1 September 2020.
JTBB is accepted to be included in Scopus Index based on Scopus CSAB Recommendation on 31 August 2020.
Based on the Decree of The Director-General of Research And Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology, And Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia nr. 34/E/KPT/2018, Journal of Tropical Biodiversity and Biotechnology is accredited to rank 2 (SINTA 2). The accreditation is valid from 2017 until 2021.
Before 2018, the journal published two issues annually in June and December. Started from 2018 (volume 3), it issued three numbers which are in April, August, and December.
