IoT is an inseparable part of the smart library concept. This study is to describe the benefits of applying IoT technology in supporting units, namely the management of lockers integrated into SIPUS (Library Information System) using RFID or qr code in UGM library. This article uses the research method of literature review. The creation of a smart library atmosphere by applying IoT technology to integrated locker management is very important, because it provides benefits for the efficiency of locker management, saves time, makes users comfortable, and there is security and control. However, in addition to being useful, the deployment of IoT in libraries also has an impact on efforts in technology maintenance, staff training, dependence on technology, data protection, and investment costs.
