Implementasi teknologi informasi: sistem aplikasi unggah mandiri pada Unit IT Support & Digital Resources Perpustakaan UGM
Abstract
Tujuan penulisan atikel ini adalah memberikan gambaran penerapan sistem
aplikasi penerimaan karya akhir mahasiswa di Perpustakaan UGM. Unggah
mandiri adalah istilah yang digunakan pada suatu sistem aplikasi layanan
berbasis web untuk melayani serah terima karya akhir mahasiswa di Perpustakaan
UGM, yang selanjutnya masuk portal repositori ETD. Sistem aplikasi ini
menggeser sistem sebelumnya yang masih dilakukan secara konvensional, yang
memerlukan beberapa tahap yang harus dilakukan baik oleh pustakawan maupun
mahasiswa. Tulisan ini membahas tentang bagaimana implementasi teknologi
informasi mempengaruhi perubahan peran pustakawan dalam menjalankan tugas
fungsi layanan dan pengelolaan perpustakaan. Hadirnya teknologi informasi
menuntut pustakawan untuk senantiasa proaktif memberikan pendampingan pada
pemustaka (mahasiswa) agar fungsi layanan dapat berjalan dengan baik.
