Abstract


Archipelagic regions (province, regencies and municipalities) characterised by territorial sea consisting of archipelagos. The archipelagic region plays important roles in the process of recognition of Indonesia as an archipelagic state. However, no proper regulation is currently in force.

 

Daerah kepulauan (provinsi dan kabupaten/ kota) merupakan daerah yang karakteristiknya terdiri dari lautan yang luas dengan pulau-pulau kecil yang membentuk gugusan pulau. Daerah kepulauan menjadi faktor dominan dalam pengakuan Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan. Akan tetapi belum mendapat pengaturan dalam peraturan perundang-undangan nasional.
