Abstract


Latar Belakang: Kanker salah penyakit kronis yang mematikan di dunia. Upaya perawatan pasien kanker dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya komplikasi. Salah satu komplikasi yang sering timbul pada pasien kanker adalah infeksi. Perkembangan pengendalian infeksi berperan penting dalam kemajuan pengobatan kanker. Berbagai upaya dapat dilakukan untuk pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi pada pasien kanker.

Tujuan: Mengetahui tindakan-tindakan pengendalian infeksi pada pasien dengan kanker

Metode: Systematic literature review menggunakan database Clinical Key dan Pubmed. Keyword yang digunakan Cancer Patient OR Chemoteraphy Patient AND Infection Control AND Reduce the spread of infection

Hasil: Empat artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Artikel yang dianalisis dipublikasikan pada tahun 2011‒2021. Metode dalam 1 artikel penelitian yaitu rancangan quasi eksperimen. Pengendalian infeksi pasien kanker yaitu kebersihan tangan, penggunaan APD, menempatkan pasien di ruang terpisah, pemilihan antibiotik & antifungal profilaksis pada keganasan hematologis, pengendalian lingkungan yang baik dan tepat, dan pemberian edukasi serta penerapan bundle pencegahan infeksi pada kateter.

Kesimpulan: Kanker merupakan salah satu penyakit di mana pasien mengalami defisiensi imun dan merupakan sasaran utama berbagai penyakit infeksi sehingga memerlukan upaya untuk mengontrol infeksi pada pasien dengan kanker. Pengendalian infeksi pada pasien kanker yaitu kebersihan tangan, prinsip diet, Antibiotik and Antifungal Prophylaxis, Protective Environment, perlindungan isolasi, dan infeksi terkait kateter
