Author Guidelines

  1. Systematic writing:
    1. First part : title, authors, abstract
    2. Main part : introduction, literature review, develop hypothesis
    3. Ending part : acknowledgment (if any), symbols description (if any), and references
  2. Title and authors:
    1. Title is written by capital words (Title Case/Capital Each Word), bold, with font of Palatino 14, singlespace, center text and maximum words is 12
    2. Authors name placed under the title and written without degree. It starts with capital word (avoid to use “by” before the authors name). author sequence is first aurhor then followed by second author etc
    3. Institution address and email written under authors name with font of Palatino 10.
  3. Abstract
    1. Abstract is written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (ABSTRAK in bahasa and ABSTRACT in english) with Bold, which contain introduction, how the study was conducted, the results etc.
    2. The maximum words in abstract is no more than 200 words, and written with single space
    3. Justify text with font of palatino 10.
    4. The abstract using format structured abstract
      1) Background
      2) Objectives
      3) Methods
      4) Results
      5) Conclusion
    5. Every section has to write in bold
    6. Keywords consist 3 – 5 words, the word of “Keywords” also has to write in bold.
  4. General rules of publication manuscript
    1. Every section in manuscript is written with font of Palatino 11, using capital words and bold
    2. First sentence in new paragraph is written with indent-first line 0.75 cm, and there are no space between paragraphs
    3. Each paragraph cannot be longer than 12 lines and must contain at least 1 citation
    4. Content of manuscript is written with font of palatino 11 without using bold
    5. Words from foreign language is written italic
    6. Every numeral words have to written in number, except in the beginning of paragraph and intregers that less than ten
    7. Tables and pictures must have clear desription and serial number. Numbering use center text format and placed above the table and for picture, it placed below.
    8. The article contains a minimum of 10 pages
  5. REFERENCES:
    Reference format using Harvard Referencing Standard system. All literature that put in references must contain in manuscript. Literatures prefered from the last 5 years, minimum contain 25 references (80% primary source ex: journal, proceeding). We suggested using Mendeley Reference Management tools.

      First author, second author etc. (last name, first name abbreviated) publication year. Title (italic). Edition, publisher. Place of publication.

    4. Essay, Thesis and Dissertation
      First author, second author etc. (Last name, first name abbreviated) publication year. Title. essay, thesis or dissertation. university.
      Example: Pratiwi R.D. (2013). Pengaruh Suplementasi Vitamin A dan D pada pengobatan TB Paru BTA+ terhadap Percepatan Konversi Dahak di Fase Intensif. Tesis. Field Epidemiology Training Program Fakultas Kedokteran UGM, Yogyakarta.
    5. Website
      Authors. year. Title. Judul. Uniform Resources Locator (URL). Date of accessed.
      Example: WHO (2011). Global Tuberkulosis Control 2011. Available from: www.who.int/tb. Diakses tanggal 12 Juni 2013.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format (Article Template).
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

The Author whose paper is accepted for publication in Jurnal Kesehatan Vokasional is subjected to pay 1.500.000. (IDR) for all authors.
