This journal publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright and full publishing rights without restriction. The publisher is granted a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the work in any format or medium, including printed editions.
Under the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license, others may copy, distribute, adapt, and build upon the published material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original work, a link to the license is included, and any changes are clearly indicated.

Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement
This statement outlines the ethical standards and responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process of Jurnal Teknologi dan Rekayasa Alat Berat, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher (Sekolah Vokasi, Universitas Gadjah Mada).
This policy is developed in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication
The publication of articles in a peer-reviewed journal such as Jurnal Teknologi dan Rekayasa Alat Berat is a vital element in the advancement of scientific knowledge. It reflects the quality of the authors work and the credibility of the institutions that support it. Adherence to ethical standards ensures the integrity, transparency, and reproducibility of the scholarly record.
As the publisher, Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada takes its duties as guardian of research integrity seriously. The editorial team ensures that editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial interests or advertising revenue. The journal also cooperates with other publishers and institutions when necessary to clarify or rectify ethical concerns.
Publication Decisions
The Editor-in-Chief of Jurnal Teknologi dan Rekayasa Alat Berat is responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts will be published, based on the evaluations and recommendations of the editorial board and peer reviewers. The decision process adheres to legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor may consult with the editorial team and reviewers when making the final decision.
Copyright and Permissions
Authors retain copyright of their published works under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). By submitting their manuscript, authors grant Jurnal Teknologi dan Rekayasa Alat Berat a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the article in any form or medium. Exceptions may apply when copyright transfer is required by a funding body or institution, in which case the publisher will act accordingly in agreement with the author.
Non-Discrimination
Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of their intellectual and scientific content, without regard to the authors race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality
Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, potential reviewers, editorial board members, or the publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s or reviewer’s own research without the authors explicit written consent. Editors and reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest that could influence their objectivity.
Allegations of Research Misconduct
Research misconduct includes fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, plagiarism, or other practices that deviate from accepted scientific standards. When potential misconduct is identified, Jurnal Teknologi dan Rekayasa Alat Berat will follow COPEs flowcharts and guidelines to investigate the allegation.
The Editors will first assess the validity of the claim and determine whether the allegation falls within the definition of research misconduct. If necessary, the corresponding author will be contacted for clarification and supporting evidence. Institutions are expected to conduct a thorough investigation when serious misconduct is suspected.
If misconduct is confirmed, the manuscript will be rejected or, if already published, retracted with an accompanying notice explaining the reason. Through these measures, the journal upholds the integrity and reliability of the scientific record.
Complaints and Appeals
Jurnal Teknologi dan Rekayasa Alat Berat maintains a transparent procedure for handling complaints regarding the editorial process, peer-review, or ethical misconduct. Complaints should be submitted by email to jtrab@ugm.ac.id, and will be addressed according to COPEs guidelines. All cases will be investigated impartially, and appropriate corrective actions will be taken when necessary.
Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and helps authors improve their manuscripts through constructive feedback.
Promptness
Reviewers who feel unqualified to evaluate a manuscript or unable to complete a timely review should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed with others except with the editors authorization.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews must be conducted objectively, without personal criticism of the authors. Reviewers should provide clear, evidence-based comments and justifications.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors and report any substantial similarity between the manuscript under review and other published papers.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers must decline to review any manuscript in which they have a conflict of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or financial relationships.
Duties of Authors
Reporting Standards
Authors must present an accurate and objective account of their work. Data should be represented clearly and precisely to allow replication. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unacceptable.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their works are original. The use of others work or words must be appropriately cited or quoted.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not publish manuscripts describing the same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be provided, and relevant publications should be cited appropriately.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.
Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
If the research involves hazardous materials or human/animal subjects, authors must clearly identify all relevant safety or ethical concerns in the manuscript.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work, as well as all sources of financial support.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate in issuing a correction or retraction.
