Article Writing Guidelines

Articles submitted to Middle Eastern Culture and Religion Issues (MECRI) should be in form of essay which includes:

  • Title (max. 16 words),
  • Abstract (150-250 words for each) which includes:
    - Introduction
    - Methods
    - Findings and discussion
    - Research implication to both empirical and conceptual
    - Keywords (4-7 words)
  • Introduction (without subsection, 2-3 pages) which includes background, objectives, literature reviews/theoretical construct (if needed) of the research. The introduction section ends with an emphasis on items to be discussed,
  • Methods (how the research is approached),
  • Findings and Discussion (consists of results of the study, written in the form of subchapter(s)),
  • Conclusion (is a brief summary of findings and discussion. It is strongly recommended to avoid mere repetitive statements from the previous sections) and
  • Reference list format based on the style of APA (American Psychological Association) 6th
    edition. The reference list should appear at the end of the article and include only the
    literature actually cited in the manuscript. References are arranged alphabetically. We
    strongly recommend authors to use reference tools, such as Mendeley, Zotero, Endnote, etc.
