Startegi Penerjemahan Tindak Mengancam Muka Negatif pada Sulih Teks Serial TV “13 Reasons Why”
Abstract
Penelitian itu bertujuan untuk mengupas strategi penerjemahan kata, frasa dan kalimat yang terdapat pada tindak mengancam muka negatif pada sulih teks salah satu serial TV Netflix yang berjudul 13 Reasons Why. Teori utama yang digunakan yaitu strategi penerjemahan dari Baker (1992). Data didapatkan dari ujaran tindak mengancam muka yang dilakukan oleh orang sekitar terhadap tokoh utama serial TV tersebut. Metode analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif komparatif. Hasil dari penelitian yang ditemukan yaitu strategi (1) menggunakan pelesapan atau penghilangan, (2) menggunakan kata yang lebih umum, (3) menggunakan kata yang lebih netral, (4) menggunakan substitusi budaya, dan (5) menggunakan parafrase dengan kata yang berkaitan.
