Rubikon: Journal of Transnational American Studies (JTAS) is a journal published by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and the Association of American Studies Society of Indonesia (ASSINDO) supported by UI, UNDIP, UAD, UNIMA, UMS, UNRAM, Unika Santo Paulus Ruteng, UNISSULA, Unika Soegijapranata, UNS, UNSRAT, UHO, UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, UNHAS, UNM, UNG, UTY and UNRIYO. It specializes in American Studies especially transnational studies of the U.S. It is also intended to communicate American Studies issues and challenges. This journal warmly welcomes contributors from American Studies scholars, researchers, and those related to the discipline.
Rubikon is an academic journal focuses on cultural, literary, humanities, economic and political phenomena from and/or about the United States. Rubikon is published twice a year, in February and October.
In 2013, Rubikon formed by American Studies Program, UGM and the Association of American Studies Society of Indonesia (ASSINDO).
In 2014, Rubikon published the first edition in the printed version. Starting in 2016, Rubikon also released an online version (online version) on the https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/rubikon/ page and has been registered on GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital). For its publication, Rubikon also has registration number ISSN: 2541-2248 and E-ISSN: 2654-413X
In 2019, Rubikon as a whole adopted the Online Journal System (OJS), which includes the registration process prospective authors, submissions, editing to publishing articles.
In 2022, Rubikon is indexed in Sinta (Science and Technology Index), with a score of S4.
