Mrs. Kimberly Nicole P. Quilantang, M.A. is a faculty member for the Department of Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Letters, University of Santo Tomas. Her master’s thesis at the University of Santo Tomas delved into music as literature, focusing on the Filipino indie-rock culture scene. She recently published a Scopus-indexed article titled “Para po! (Stop, Please): The Cultural Significance of Jeepney Decorations in the Philippines in the Context of Modernisation” in Mobility Humanities, a journal based at Konkuk University, South Korea. And “Navigating the Interplay between Modernity and Tradition: Cultural Tension in Haplos” published by University of Santo Tomas Publishing House under the Vilma Santos Icon: Essays on Cinema, Culture and Society book. Edited by Aguila and Zulueta. Her current research interests include exploring film and writing, music, and video games as forms of narrative, reflecting her commitment to interdisciplinary approaches in the Humanities.
