The aim of the journal is to disseminate advancement in the history of Indonesia within a regional and global context, emphasizing texts with new empirical sources and those with new, challenging ideas.

The areas of focus are listed below:

Peer Review Process

Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Initial Review processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to the Mitra Bebestari/ peer reviewer and will go to the next selection by Blind Preview Process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors to revise. These processes take a month for a maximum time. In the each manuscript, Mitra Bebestari/ peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. Mitra Bebestari/ peer reviewer that collaboration with JKAP is the experts in the public administration area and issues around it. They were experienced in the prestigious journal management and publication that was spread around the national and abroad.


Publication Frequency

Lembaran Sejarah, Jurnal Sejarah dan Ilmu Sejarah, diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun pada bulan April dan Oktober, oleh Jurusan Sejarah Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta, Indonesia.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.


Publication Ethics

In order to promote the principle of scientific ethics, you may follow the guidance below:

  • Please respect the confidentially of the review process by not exhibiting the entire or part of the articles to a third party.
  • Please do not use the data or information from the article in the review process for the benefits of a particular individual or organization.
  • If there is any conflict of interest, reviewers are expected to discuss the matters with the Editorial Board of Lembaran Sejarah.
  • Review must be objective and independent from external factors of the article.
  • Please do not make any accusation or offended statement during the review process.
  • Critics must be unequivocal and explicit.
  • If an unclear part is found, Reviewer is permitted to require the author to clarify his/her article yet it is not suggested for Reviewer to impose a particular writing style to the author.
