AI Usage Policy

Permitted Uses:

1

Artificial Intelligence (AI) may be used for copy-editing purposes, including grammar correction, improvement of writing style, and formatting adjustments.

2

The use of AI tools for data analysis and interpretation is permitted, provided that authors transparently specify which stages of the analysis or interpretation process involved the use of AI, along with the justification for its use. This information must be clearly stated in both the methods section and acknowledgements.

Prohibited Uses:

1

AI must not be used for copy-writing (writing or generating articles) that replaces the intellectual contribution of the author.

2

Author(s) is prohibited from fabricating (producing data, article content, or research results) or falsifying (manipulating data, images, graphs, research results, or other article content) their work.

Declaration of AI Use:

1

Authors must provide an explicit declaration of any AI usage in their manuscript at the time of manuscript submission.

2

The statement on AI use will be included in the published article, for example in the methods section and acknowledgements. An example statement for the acknowledgement section:

"The author(s) used [name of AI tool] as a tool for [e.g., grammar correction, language editing, data interpretation, with the purpose of improving manuscript readability, ensuring writing consistency, and supporting preliminary data analysis]. All processes were conducted under the full supervision of the author(s), who remain responsible for all intellectual contributions."

Transparency:

1

All data, findings, and analyses presented in the manuscript shall be subject to scientific verification and must reflect accountable research practices.

2

In cases where editors or reviewers raise concerns about the authenticity of the manuscript, authors are required to provide documentation of the writing process, including raw data, records of AI tool usage, manuscript revision versions, and data or sources supporting the originality and intellectual contribution of the authors.

Sanctions for Violations:

1

Violations of AI-editorial policy shall be regarded as academic ethical misconduct and may lead to manuscript withdrawal, rejection of publication, or official notification to the author's affiliated institution.

Editorial Team Procedures for AI Use Verification:

1

The editorial team will verify whether authors have explicitly declared AI usage during manuscript submission, either in the submission form or in the methods/acknowledgement sections.

2

The editorial team will assess whether the declared AI usage complies with the journal’s policy (e.g., only for copy-editing or data analysis, not for main manuscript writing or data fabrication).

3

Should there are doubts about the manuscript’s authenticity or the use of AI, the editorial team shall have the right to request additional documentation from the authors, such as manuscript revision history, AI usage logs, or raw data prior to further processing.
