Abstract


Latar Belakang: Prevalensi penyakit kronis terutama diabetes melitus (DM) dan hipertensi pada lanjut usia (lansia) terus meningkat. Hal ini berisiko menimbulkan kecacatan, penurunan kualitas hidup, bahkan kematian. Sebagian besar lansia mengeluh mengalami gangguan tidur sehingga mempengaruhi status kesehatan dan kualitas hidup. Aspek psikologis diidentifikasi sebagai salah satu faktor penyebab utama masalah tidur pada lansia penderita DM dan hipertensi.

Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan kondisi psikologis dengan kualitas tidur lansia penderita DM dan hipertensi.

Metode: Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan cross sectional di Puskesmas Sukodadi Kabupaten Lamongan pada bulan Oktober‒Desember 2019. Sampel penelitian adalah 104 lansia kelompok prolanis secara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner psychological distress dan Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Analisis data dengan uji Spearman.

Hasil: Sebagian besar 65,4% lansia mengalami tekanan psikologis ringan, dan 54,8% lansia memiliki kualitas tidur baik. Hasil uji Spearman rho p=0,004 dan r=0,282, berarti terdapat hubungan kondisi psikologis dengan kualitas tidur lansia penderita penyakit kronis, kekuatan korelasi lemah dan bersifat positif.

Kesimpulan: Kondisi psikologis secara statistik berhubungan dengan kualitas tidur pada lansia penderita penyakit kronis pada kelompok prolanis.
