The Journal of Community Empowerment for Health (JCOEMPH) is a community-empowerment-based scientific journal under the auspices of the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). JCOEMPH is intended for community empowerment activists to be able to publish their community service activities in scientific journals. Community service activities carried out by lecturers, practitioners and health students are very many. Unfortunately, those activities have not been published with the rules of research. Therefore, JCOEMPH is present to accommodate the results of community service in the realm of health written in the form of scientific articles. JCOEMPH is affiliated with the professional organization of Perhimpunan Dokter Kedokteran Komunitas dan Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (PDK3MI) or The Indonesian Physician of Community Medicine and Public Health Association. JCOEMPH is published twice a year. Volume 1 is published in November 2018 and May 2019 with each number containing 8 articles. Starting from Volume 2 in 2019, JCOEMPH will be published in June and December containing 15 articles for each number.
JCOEMPH's new look and improved quality
As of Volume 3 Issue 1 2020, JCOEMPH has published articles three times in a year and only published the article in English. We also changes the appearance of the journal’s articles include the inclusion a copyright notice and some changes in the layout.
JCOEMPH's accreditations
In 2020, JCOEMPH has been accredited by the Directorate General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Research and Technology, the Republic of Indonesia from Volume 1 Issue 1 2018, with Decree No. 85/M/KPT/2020, valid until 2022.
