Journal History
Gadjah Mada Journal of Professional Psychology (GamaJPP) was launched in 2015 as a forum for publishing theses for the Master of Psychology program at Universitas Gadjah Mada. This initiative is a consideration considering the large number of final assignments this program produces each year. Initially, GamaJPP was published three times a year with the aim of disseminating empirical research reports involving clinical or therapeutic interventions. However, since 2018, GamaJPP has only been published twice a year (May and October).
Recently there have been several changes in the goals and scope of the Gadjah Mada Journal of Professional Psychology (GamaJPP). In recent years, we have received articles that adopt experimental and intervention-based research designs. However, since July 2022, GamaJPP has expanded its scope to accommodate the need for evidence-based scientific articles that have implications for the development of professional psychology research and practice in the Indonesian context. Therefore, GamaJPP is now accepting manuscripts in the fields of Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Organizational Change & Development. This manuscript should adopt an empirical and systematic literature review, or experimental research design that justifies its contribution to professional psychology research and practice and meets high publication standards.
Gadjah Mada Journal of Professional Psychology (GamaJPP) has been accredited by National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA) Managed by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Republic Indonesia with Third Grade (Sinta 3) for year 2018 to 2022 according to the decree No. 28/E/KPT/2019.
Starting from the first issue of 2024, Gadjah Mada Journal of Profesional Psychology (GamaJPP) changes its previous one-columned layout (which had been done since 2021) to a two-columned layout. This change is done in the hope that our published papers would be more reader-friendly. It also adheres to the current trend of scientific publication. As for the content, Gadjah Mada Journal of Profesional Psychology (GamaJPP) aspires to deliver the latest developments within psychological science not only to Indonesian scientific community but also to the global community. and the final layout will employ LaTeX format, thus, authors whose submissions are accepted must submit references in BibTeX format using the guidance provided.
Starting Volume 10 Number 2, Gadjah Mada Journal of Profesional Psychology (GamaJPP) has been changed publication schedule from May and October to March and September for administrative and technical reasons. This adjustment is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the quality of the journal.
