Abstract


Pendidikan kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi remaja di Indonesia masih menjadi perdebatan sampai saat ini. Adanya stigma dikalangan masyarakat, yang menganggap bahwa pendidikan tersebut dapat mendorong remaja untuk melakukan aktivitas seksual. Padahal bukti ilmiah menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi justru dapat mengurangi perilaku seksual beresiko pada mereka. Stigma menjadi penghambat dalam upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi pada remaja. Beberapa penelitian membuktikan efek dari pendidikan kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi dalam membantu remaja untuk mengurangi timbulnya aktivitas seksual, mengurangi frekuensi seks yang tidak aman, meningkatkan penggunaan kondom untuk mencegah kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan dan infeksi menular seksual. Tinjauan literatur ini mengintegrasikan temuan dari beberapa penelitian untuk melihat pengaruh intervensi kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi dalam mencegah niat dan perilaku seksual pada remaja. Meskipun terdapat variabilitas dalam metodologi di seluruh studi yang ditinjau, temuan menunjukkan bahwa intervensi pendidikan kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi terbukti dapat mencegah timbulnya niat dan perilaku seksual pada remaja.
