Model Ekonomi Donat dan Upaya Pengembangan Konsep Batas-Batas Keplanetan

Abstract


Penelitian ini ingin menjelaskan konstruksi teoretis di balik model ekonomi donat yang dikonstruksikan oleh senior associate dari Oxford University’s Environmental Change Institute Kate Raworth dengan melihat keterkaitannya dengan konsep batas-batas keplanetan (planetary boundaries). Secara umum, model ekonomi donat telah dipakai guna meninjau iklim ekonomi ramah lingkungan dalam kurun satu dekade terakhir, khususnya di Afrika Selatan dan Belanda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengeksplanasikan bahwa gagasan pembangunan berkelanjutan telah mengalami berbagai upaya perevisian dengan salah satunya berasal dari rumpun kajian ilmu ekonomi. Dengan penelaahan menggunakan studi literatur, temuan utama penelitian ini membuahkan dua hasil. Pertama, model ekonomi donat kuat terpengaruh gagasan konsep batas-batas keplanetan yang mewujud dalam penggambaran ambang batas lingkungan. Kedua, meskipun konsep batas-batas keplanetan telah mengalami perombakan pada 2015, model ekonomi donat belum menanggapi upaya perevisian tersebut. Konsekuensinya, model ekonomi donat berada dalam status prematur berkenaan dengan konstruksi teoretisnya.
