Article Guidelines

The editor of JIM welcomes article submissions in accordance with the following guidelines:

  1. Articles have not been published or accepted for publication or are being considered for publication elsewhere.
  2. Types of articles for publication include the following: engagement reports, best practices for innovation, sustainable, and equitable community development, appropriate technology,
  3. Articles are written in English using academic language, are typed 1,5 spaced, between 5000-8000 words in length including references, pictures, and tables.
  4. Articles should be in form of essay which includes:
  • JIM has already applied double-blind review in the review process,
  • Title (max. 15 words),
  • Abstract (150-250 words)
  • Keywords (5-7 words),
  • Introduction which includes background, objectives, literature reviews/theoretical construct (if needed).
  • Methods,
  • Findings and discussion (written in the form of subchapter),
  • Conclusion
  • References.
  1. Figures, Tables and Maps: If your manuscript contains figures or tables, upload them as separate documents, number the figures and tables consecutively, and refer to them in the text (Figure 1, Figure 2, Table 1, Table 2, etc.).
  2. Reference list format is based on APA (American Psychological Association) style 7th edition. We strongly recommend authors to use reference tools, such as MendeleyZoteroEndnote, etc.
