Perkembangan Lanskap Spiritual Masyarakat Pondok Tinggi, Sungai Penuh
Abstract
Pondok Tinggi, situated in the center of Sungai Penuh, was once the capital of Kerinci Regency. Nowadays, Pondok Tinggi has evolved into a center of government, resulting in significant changes to the community's life. The flow of modernization brings along interactions with diverse cultures, which influence the development and transformation of the community's sacred space. Therefore, it is necessary to explore aspects that influence the development of the spiritual landscape of the Pondok Tinggi community—the research method employed interviews and literature studies, utilizing an ethnohistorical and collective memory approach. The results indicate that the community's sacred space in the Pondok Tinggi area has transformed during the pre-Islamic period, the early Islamic period, and the present day. This can be seen from the location of the Kenduri Sko event and the community's treatment of artifacts. Furthermore, the Pondok Tinggi community still believes that areas located in the highlands are considered sacred.

Pondok Tinggi, suatu area yang berada di tengah Kota Sungai Penuh, pada masa lalu merupakan ibukota Kabupaten Kerinci. Saat ini, Pondok Tinggi telah berkembang sebagai pusat pemerintahan, sehingga masyarakat di sana juga mengalami perubahan. Arus modernisasi membawa serta interaksi dengan berbagai kebudayaan luar, yang mempengaruhi perkembangan dan perubahan ruang sakral masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, aspek-aspek yang mempengaruhi perkembangan lanskap spiritual masyarakat Pondok Tinggi dirasa perlu untuk ditelusuri. Metode penelitian menggunakan wawancara dan studi pustaka dengan pendekatan etnosejarah dan memori kolektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi transformasi ruang sakral masyarakat di wilayah Pondok Tinggi pada masa pra-Islam, masa awal Islam, dan masa sekarang. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari lokasi pelaksanaan acara Kenduri Sko dan perlakuan masyarakat terhadap artefak. Selain itu, masyarakat Pondok Tinggi masih meyakini bahwa area yang berada di dataran tinggi merupakan area yang sakral.
