East Asian Review (EAR) is an online and open-access scientific journal involving a double-blind review process. This journal publishes articles on East Asian studies (particularly Japan and South Korea), discussing the fields of linguistics, literature, culture, and history. This journal was initiated in 2023 by the Japanese Language and Culture Study Program in collaboration with the Korean Language and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This journal is published biannually in March and October. EAR scopes the fields of linguistics, literature, culture, and history.
