Remitansi untuk Hidup di Desa Kayupuring, Petungkriyono, Pekalongan
Abstract
Migrasi adalah salah satu cara masyarakat pedesaan mencari nafkah. Jenis migrasi yang paling umum adalah migrasi non-permanen, di mana mereka masih ingin kembali dan menetap di desa asal. Ketika mereka bermigrasi, mereka mengirimkan sebagian dari pendapatan mereka ke desa dalam bentuk remitansi, yang sering dianggap penting untuk penghidupan di pedesaan. Artikel ini mempertanyakan, bagaimana strategi para migran dari Desa Kayupuring, Pekalongan, Jawa Tengah, dalam mengelola remitansi untuk penghidupan yang berkelanjutan di desa? Penelitian ini menggunakan data kualitatif yang mendukung hasil survei ekonomi rumah tangga dan dielaborasi dengan studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pemanfaatan remitansi untuk penghidupan adalah dengan mempertahankan mata pencaharian mereka untuk mendapatkan jaminan stabilitas ekonomi rumah tangga.
