Abstract
Abstrak. Pemantauan luasan dan kerapatan mangrove dapat berguna untuk keberlanjutan pemanfaatan ekosistem mangrove. Salah satu ekosistem mangrove yang telah dimanfaatkan berada di Kecamatan Cilamaya Wetan berupa peresmian objek wisata Pusat Bahari Tangkolak (PBT). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan juga menentukan luasan serta kerapatan ekosistem mangrove. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) menggunakan data perekaman citra satelit PlanetScope sensor Dove-R dengan cara dijitasi on screen, observasi, dan diskusi di lapangan. Analisis yang digunakan spasial, kuantitatif dan deskriptif untuk menjelaskan luasan dan kerapatan mangrove. Luas mangrove tahun 2017-2019 berturut-turut sebesar 77,40 Ha, 81,24 Ha, dan 50,91 Ha dengan dominasi kerapatan klasifikasi lebat setiap tahunnya. Penurunan luasan dan kerapatan mangrove terjadi karena adanya kegiatan wisata dan perubahan fungsi lahan ekosistem mangrove menjadi tambak ikan, udang, garam, dan penebangan pohon dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan rumahtangga.
Abstract. Monitoring the area and density of mangroves can be useful for the sustainable use of mangrove ecosystems. One of the mangrove ecosystems that have been utilized is in the District of Cilamaya Wetan in the form of the inauguration of the Tangkolak Marine Center (PBT) tourist attraction. The purpose of this study was to determine and also determine the extent and density of the mangrove ecosystem. The method used in this research is NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) using PlanetScope sensor Dove-R satellite image recording data by digitizing on screen, observation, and discussion in the field. The analysis used was spatial, quantitative and descriptive to explain the extent and density of mangroves. The area of mangroves in 2017-2019 was 77.40 Ha, 81.24 Ha, and 50.91 Ha, respectively, with the dominance of the dense category of density every year. The decrease in the area and density of mangroves occurs due to tourism activities and changes in the function of mangrove ecosystem land into fish, shrimp, salt ponds, and tree cutting to fulfill household needs.
