Religiusitas Versus Dukungan Sosial: Manakah yang Lebih Berkontribusi Bagi Well-Being Mahasiswa?

Abstract


Pandemi yang terjadi di berbagai negara di dunia, termasuk di Indonesia memberikan dampak negatif terhadap well-being mahasiswa. Hal ini membuat faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi well-being mahasiswa menjadi penting diteliti. Penelitian sebelumnya menemukan bahwa dimensi belonging dari religiositas memiliki pengaruh yang dominan terhadap well-being. Penelitian lain menemukan dukungan sosial juga berpengaruh positif terhadap well-being. Belonging dan dukungan sosial merupakan konstruk yang mirip. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin melihat bagaimana dinamika kaitan religiositas dan dukungan sosial terhadap well-being pada mahasiswa. Hasil regresi linier berganda dari data 216 partisipan menunjukkan religiositas dan dukungan sosial memberikan kontribusi terhadap well-being mahasiswa sebesar 28% (R2 = .28). Jika dilihat secara total, religiositas mempunyai kontribusi lebih besar (β = .33, ρ < .01) terhadap well-being dibandingkan dukungan sosial (β = .31, ρ < .01). Namun jika dilihat dari dimensi religiositas, dukungan sosial memiliki kontribusi yang lebih besar, dan hanya dimensi belonging yang signifikan. Hasil yang terlihat paradoks ini dan implikasinya akan dijelaskan.
