COVID-19 DATA MANAGEMENT STRATEGY BY DISKOMINFO BOGOR CITY

Abstract


This research aims to know the message management strategy conducted by
Diskominfo Bogor City in managing COVID-19 data through social media. Message
management is carried out so that the message to be delivered can be understood and
there is no misperception to the people of Bogor City. Government public relations takes
a role in managing messages, with the strategy of managing messages before the
message is published minimizing unwanted things happening.
In conducting this research using qualitative research approach and the method
used is descriptive method. The techniques used in compiling this research are
observation, interview, and documentation. Technical data analysis used is the technical
analysis of interactive data, consisting of data collection ( data collection), data  reduction (data reduction), presentation of data (data display), and conclusion (conclusion).

Based on the results of the research that the message management strategy used is an informative management technique and a persuasive management technique. This strategy is carried out by Diskominfo Bogor City to build understanding to the public on information or news published through social media. The conclusion of this study is Diskominfo Bogor city conducts several message management strategies to manage COVID-19 data uploaded to social media Diskominfo Bogor City in order to achieve its goal in delivering messages to the people of Bogor City.
