JGISE was established in 2018 by Department of Geodetic Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada in collaboration with Ikatan Surveyor Indonesia (Indonesian Surveyor Association). The Indonesian Surveyor Association (ISI) is a national professional association in the field of surveying and mapping that was founded in 1972. Currently, JGISE has been indexed by several indexing tools (see here).
JGISE is accredited by Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology / National Board for Research and Innovation (Kementrian Ristek/BRIN), and was ranked as SINTA 4 (valid from Vol 1 No 1 2018 until Vol 5 No 2 2022). The accreditation certificate of SINTA 4 can be seen here. Since 2022 JGISE is ranked as SINTA 3 which is valid from Volume 5 No 1 2022 until Volume 9 No 2 2026.
