Professor Young Nam Chun has been a faculty member in the  Department of Environmental Engineering at Chosun University since 1994. He had received his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Technology from the TOKYO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. For his doctoral dissertation, he made a study in "Waste to Energy Conversion". He also made a research as Post Doc. at Flow and Combustion Simulation Laboratory of University of Illinois at Chicago in America. He worked as a visiting professor at Dept. of Engineering Physics of McMaster University in Canada.

He has conducted research in the field of fossil fuel and biogas reforming to produce hydrogen-rich gaseous fuels using plasma discharge, microwave heating, etc.
