Perkembangan Fasilitas Pariwisata di Telaga Sarangan, 1910-an hingga 1940-an

Artikel ini membahas perkembangan fasilitas di Telaga Sarangan pada abad ke-20. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah dengan menelusuri sumber primer dan sekunder, seperti buku, surat kabar serta foto. Telaga Sarangan pada abad ke-20 menjadi salah satu tempat yang banyak dikunjungi wisatawan. Letaknya di lereng Gunung Lawu memberikan cuaca yang sejuk dan suasana yang tenang. Pada awal abad ke-20, fasilitas pariwisata di Telaga Sarangan berkembang secara signifikan. Perkembangan tersebut tidak sekadar satu aspek saja, melainkan dalam banyak aspek untuk menunjang kegiatan pariwisata. Di Sarangan berdiri sebuah asosiasi yang bernama V.O.S.O. (Vereeniging tot Opbloei Sarangan en Omgeving). Asosiasi ini memiliki peran untuk mengembangkan aktivitas pariwisata di kawasan Sarangan dan sekitarnya, khususnya dalam hal fasilitas pariwisata. Artikel ini akan melengkapi pembahasan perkembangan fasilitas di Telaga Sarangan yang telah dilakukan kajian akademis sebelumnya.
Abstract
This article discusses the development of facilities at Telaga Sarangan in the 20th century. Telaga Sarangan in the 20th century became one of the places visited by many tourists. Its location on the slopes of Mount Lawu provides cool weather and a calm atmosphere. The 20th century provided a significant development of tourism facilities in Telaga Sarangan. The development not only happened in one aspect, but rather many aspects in order to support tourism activities. In Sarangan, there is an association called V.O.S.O. (Vereeniging tot Opbloei Sarangan en Omgeving). This association aimed to advance Sarangan’s tourism facilities and its surrounding. This article will complement the discussion of the development of facilities in Telaga Sarangan that has been done by previous academic studies. In compiling the article, the author is guided by historical research methods with contemporaneous newspapers, photos, and books being the main sources.
