Bahruddin is a lecturer at the Department of Social Development and Welfare, Universitas Gadjah
Mada. His research areas are on environmental governance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and
voluntary standards. He obtained a doctorate at the School of Social and Political Sciences, the
University of Melbourne, Australia. In addition to the academic publication, he also writes several
pieces of opinion in the newspaper.
