Abstract


This study aims to identify forms of expressive speech acts by netizens in the Astana Anyar bomb news and to summarize the distribution of the data. The method used in this study uses a qualitative research design. The data are taken from the @lambeturah.id Instagram comment using a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques and note-taking techniques. The collected data is then entered into the data collection table, identified, reduced, classified, and analyzed from the forms of expressive speech. Based on the results of data analysis, the expressive speech acts of netizens in reporting the Astana Anyar bombing took the form of condolences addressed to the police and angry speech, satirical speech, complaining speech, and humorous speech directed at the suicide bombers. Meanwhile, based on the percentage of data distribution, of the 20 expressive utterances of netizens analyzed, there were 3 utterances of condolence with a percentage of 15%, 6 utterances of anger with a percentage of 30%, 7 utterances of satire with a percentage of 35%, 2 utterances of complaining with a percentage of 10%, and 2 humorous utterances with a percentage of 10%.Keywords: expressive speech acts, news, Astana Anyar bomb, pragmatic.
