Seroprevalensi Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku pada Sapi di Kota dan Kabupaten Kupang, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur

Abstract
Wabah penyakit mulut dan kuku (PMK) telah mengakibatkan kerugian ekonomi yang luar biasa di seluruh dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Beberapa provinsi di Indonesia hingga saat ini masih dianggap bebas dari Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku (PMK) termasuk Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) yang juga merupakan salah satu gudang ternak sapi. Lalu lintas keluar masuknya ternak sapi dari Provinsi NTT berpotensi menyebabkan masuknya virus PMK di Provinsi NTT terutama di Kota dan Kabupaten Kupang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi seroprevalensi PMK di Kota dan Kabupaten Kupang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengambilan sampel darah sapi guna diambil serumnya dari berbagai Lokasi guna mendeteksi protein antibodi non-struktural virus PMK dengan metode uji imunokromatografi aliran lateral sandwich. Hasil uji apabila dari sampel serum dinyatakan positif terinfeksi virus PMK terlihat adanya dua garis merah pada penampang kit uji. Hasil pengujian yang dilakukan ditemukan 6 sampel positif adanya reaksi antibodi protein non struktural terhadap virus PMK dari 150 sampel darah sapi, dengan angka seropositif sebesar 4 %. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa di Kota dan Kabupaten Kupang sudah teridentifikasi adanya virus PMK pada sapi.
