Abstract


Down syndrome patient have typical description of dermatogliphy and differ fromnormal people so that can be
used to assist the diagnosis. The purpose of this studywas to toknowdescription of dermatogliphy at finger and
palmof Down syndrome patient in Banjarmasin andMartapura South Kalimantan. This study was descriptive
research, sample amount 24 ones who is taken by stratified randomsampling fromexisting SDLB in research
region. This study has shown indicate that there are fourth especially pattern type (Sinus ulnaris, Sinus radialis,
Vortex and Arkus) with highest frequency of Sinus ulnaris type (75,85%). Amount of total sulur at the end of
finger is 157.Pattern of triradius interdigitalis found at digital II ( 100%), digital III (93,75%), digital IV (64,58%) and
digital V (87,5%). Tenar pattern frequency 41,66%, hipotenar pattern 77,08%, Simians line 93,74% and Loop
palmpattern 100%. Result of this study can be concluded that description of dermatogliphy of Down syndrome
patient inBanjarmasin andMartapura have triradius digital pattern, hipotenar pattern,Simians lines and Loop palm
pattern.
