Nyeri kepala tumor otak pada dewasa

Abstract
Sebagian besar pasien datang ke pelayanan kesehatan dengan keluhan nyeri kepala intensitas ringan hingga sedangkan, sedangkan pasien dengan keluhan nyeri kepala hebat datang ke Unit Gawat Darurat. Sebagian besar pasien takut penyebab nyeri kepala adalah tumor otak. Prevalensi nyeri kepala pada tumor otak bervariasi, sekitar 32,2% hingga 71%. Nyeri kepala pada tumor otak bersifat tidak spesifik, dapat menyerupai nyeri kepala primer namun memiliki perjalanan klinis tumor otak. Prevalensi tumor otak asimptomatik pada suatu meta analisis yang melibatkan 16 penelitian neuroimaging dengan 19.559 pasien menunjukkan angka yang rendah, sekitar 0,7%. Abnormalitas pada MRI otak menunjukkan 14,1% nyeri kepala pada tumor otak menyerupai nyeri kepala tegang (1,4%) dan migraine (0,6%).
Pada artikel ini, kami bertujuan menjelaskan karakteristik nyeri kepala pada tumor otak pada pasien dewasa dan memberikan rekomendasi kapan dilakukan pemeriksaan neuroimaging, dan mendiskusikan patofisiologi dan terapi nyeri kepala terkait tumor otak.
