Abstract
Abstract
Webspider data per slum area in Slum Improvement Action Plan (SIAP) 2015-2019 Kota Palembang document shows that waste is a dominant problem compared to 6 other indicators. Therefore, waste management efforts are needed in a more strategic and massive way. This study aims to examine the best urban waste infrastructure planning for communities and the environment. The land-use analysis is useful in mapping the estimated land that can still be used to create garbage banks, recycling centers, as well as creative industrial centers. SPSS analysis to find out public response about waste management by sorting from source using 377 respondents as samples based on Table Krejcie, and inductive descriptive analysis using interview in depth data to relevant stakeholder. This research showed that waste banks better than PLTSa because it tend to use clean technology and can open up more jobs. The best waste management according to all local government representatives is waste bank, recycling, and composting. There are 3 potential traditional markets in Seberang Ulu 2 District Palembang which if the upstairs being renovated can be used for garbage bank. The number of TPS (potentially to be revitalized into waste bank) are 3, this is important because to maintain the aesthetics of the city. There are 41.1% of residents said that the difficulty of sorting waste is lack of facilities. Communities support waste banks in their neighborhood, 64.5% agree; 35.5% quite agree, 0% disagree. Communities entirely agreed to sort out garbage if there is an affordable waste bank from house.
