Abstract
ABSTRAK
Erosi marin yang terjadi di Kota Ternate telah banyak menimbulkan kerugian terhadap masyarakat, terutama masyarakat yang tinggal di wilayah kepesisiran. Erosi marin juga menyebabkan luas hutan mangrove di beberapa desa yang terletak di pantai menjadi berkurang bahkan hilang. Perubahan garis pantai berupa pengurangan pantai karena erosi pantai yang bervariasi terutama pada hampir sebagian besar di sepanjang pantai bagian Barat dari Kota Ternate, seperti di pantai Gambesi, pantai Sasa, pantai Castela, pantai Rua, pantai Taduma, pantai Togafo, pantai Takome. Erosi marin yang terjadi di Kola Ternate dominan dipengaruhi oleh faktor angin, pasang surut, arus, dan gelombang. Gelombang yang bersifat destruktif umumnya memiliki sifat yang merusak, hal ini dapat terjadi karena sifat gelombang yang destruktif mempunyai ketinggian dan kecepatan rambat yang sangat tinggi. Ini terutama terjadi pada musim Utara.
ABSTRACT
Marine erosion that occurred in Ternate City has a lot of harm to society, especially people who live in the coastal area. Marine erosion also causes extensive mangrove forests in some villages which are located on the shore is reduced and even disappeared. Shoreline changes was reduced due to marine erosion that vary primarily in most of the shore along the western part of Ternate City, as Gambesi on the shore, shore Sasa, shore Kastela, shore Rua, shore Taduma, shore Togafo, shore Takome. Dominantfactor of marine erosion that occurred in Ternate City is influenced by wind, tide, current, and waves. Destructive waves generally have a destructive nature, this could happen because of the destructive nature of the wave height and velocity has a very high. This was especially true in northern season.
