A. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Authors should kindly note that submission implies that the content has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere except as a brief abstract in a scientific meeting or symposium. All submitted manuscripts undergo desk evaluation of editorial checks before they are sent for peer review. The manuscripts are checked for plagiarism and format. Manuscripts that do not pass the editorial checks will be rejected without peer review. The author of the manuscript is liable for the content of the published manuscript. The editorial staffs have the right to edit the manuscript without making any changes to its content. Submitted manuscript and illustration legally belong to the publisher and should not be published in other media without official permission of the publisher. All forms of communication between Editors and Authors should be electronically based.

Conflict of Interest Form and Copyright Transfer Agreement Form, which can be obtained from https://bit.ly/38aAH5z should be submitted along with manuscripts during the submission period. Authors must get written and signed consent to publish information from the patient and the ethics committee before submission. Submitted manuscripts must declare the letter number of this document in the text.

B.     PREPARING THE SUBMISSION :

1. Typed in Microsoft word, with single-column format, Arial font, and have a limit of 10,000 words. The manuscript should contain at least 2 Figures/Tables but not over 15.
2. Margins are to be set as Normal (2.54cm right, left, top, and bottom), 1.15 spacing, and paper size at A4 (210 × 297 mm).
3. Each part of the template shows the font size to be used. Go to TEMPLATE at https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/mkgi. The first sentence after the sub-heading is not indented. Bullet and numbering within body text are not allowed. All sentences should be typed as descriptive paragraphs.
4. In writing the manuscript, authors shall not duplicate, (plagiarize) ideas, and conduct redundancy in research.
5. When citing, the sentences shall be quoted or paraphrased.
6. The system of measurement refers to The International System of Units (SI).
7. Tables: Tables should be self-contained and complement, not duplicate, information in the text. They should be supplied as editable files, not pasted as images. Legends should be concise but comprehensive – the table, legend, and footnotes must be understandable without reference to the text. All abbreviations must be defined in footnotes. Footnote symbols: †, ‡, §, ¶, should be used (in that order) and *, **, *** should be reserved for P-values. Statistical measures such as SD or SEM should be identified in the headings. Tables are sequentially numbered with the table title and number above the table. Tables should be centered in the column OR on the page. Tables should be followed by a line space (12pt). Elements of a table should single-spaced. However, double spacing can be used to show groupings of data or to separate parts within the table.  Table headings should be in 10pt not bold. Tables are referred to in the text by the table number, e.g., Table 1. Do not show the vertical line in the table. There is only a horizontal line that should be shown in the table, as well as table heading. Legends should be concise but comprehensive – the figure and its legend must be understandable without reference to the text. Include definitions of any symbols used and define/explain all abbreviations and units of measurement.
8. Figures: Although authors are encouraged to send the highest-quality figures possible, for peer-review purposes, a wide variety of formats, sizes, and resolutions are accepted. In the text, please reference figures as for instance 'Figure 1', 'Figure 2' to match the tag name you choose for the individual figure files uploaded. Figures submitted in colour may be reproduced in colour online. Please note, however, that it is preferable that line figures (e.g. graphs and charts) are supplied in black and white so they are legible if printed by a reader in black and white. Line art: Resolution for line art needs to be higher than for images because each individual line must be more precisely rendered. Larger fonts make for easier reading. Preferred 600 dpi. Images: Though many webbased images often appear at very low resolutions (72 dpi or lower), readers will only benefit if the images offer hi-resolution detail. Preferred 300 dpi.

C.Manuscripts Categories

Two types of manuscripts are acceptable for publication: Research Article and Case Report. Manuscripts  submitted to this journal should follow the heading below : Title; Authors Name; Authors Affiliation; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions; Acknowledgments; and References. 

1. Title: shall be clear and informative, not exceed 16 words, and desribes the entire content of the articles (left aligned, bold, the first letter of the first word in the title is capitalized). The title should not contain abbreviations
2. Abstract: shall describe the entire contents of the manuscript, shall not exceed 250 words, and written as a single paragraph with no sub-heading, comprising of background, objectives, research methods, results, and conclusions. Keywords consist of 3-5 phrases (alphabetical order); separated by semicolon.
3. Introduction: shall be clear, containing the background which underlies the research, state of the art and novelty of previous research, problem formulation, and objectives of the research. It is written in one heading without any sub-heading. The introduction comprises 3-5 paragraphs and one paragraph contains one main sentence with more than two supporting sentences.
4. Materials and Methods: describes the type, time, location, instrument, sampling method and statistical analysis. The steps of the research shall be systematically and sequentially explained, without numbering or bulleting. Ethical clearance statements from relevant ethics committee shall be included in the manuscript. Specifically for case report, author must state case description including deidentified patient information, relevant physical examination and other clinical observations, relevant past procedures and their effects.
5. Results: The results of the study present the findings of the study. This section presents a minimum of two variables. The results of the study can be presented in the form of tables or figures with Arabic numerals. Tables and figures are included in the body of the manuscript. Use arrows in the figures and caption below the tables. The tables (in Microsoft word or excel) and figures (JPEG format) are attached in separate pages after references. Except for Case report: Figure, table or narrative text showing a timeline of relevant episodic of care details should be explained as part of the results.
6. Discussion: elaborates the results of the study (including summary of main findings; limitations). The author(s) compiles, analyses, evaluates, interprets, and compares the latest findings with the findings of previous research. It is not allowed to repeat any sentences that have been stated in the introduction, methods or results. The author(s) shall pay attention to the consistency of the manuscript from the title until the discussion. Limitations of the research and recommendations for future research are also described in this section. Specifically for Case report, author must state the strengths and weaknesses of the case method, discussion of relevant medical literature (similar and contrasting cases), lessons learned from the case and patient perspective.
7. Conclusion: contains the answers to the formulation of the problems.
8. Acknowledgment (not mandatory): contain clear statements of financial support, employment relations, ownership of resources, expert consultation or patent registration, grants or other funding schemes by mentioning the related individuals or institutions.
9. Conflict of interest: A statement from all the authors to the editor that there is no potential conflict of interest between the authors and/or with the funding agency.
10. References: The composition of at least 15 references consists of 80% of primary sources (journals, proceedings) and a maximum of 20% secondary sources (text books) published in the last 10 years. References are written in Vancouver style. It is recommended to use reference management software (for examples: Mendeley, Zotero, Refworks, Endnote, Reference Manager). Please include DOI for each journal at the end of each citation.
